Here is a color version of map 1 for Carcosa I whipped up a little while ago and recently checkd with Geoffrey McKinney to make sure it was cool to post.
Nice! I do agree that a colder, more barren or arid color pallet would match my "feel" for the game better. The green, grassy landscape doesn't look as alien or weird as I would expect.
I certainly used a comfortable color palette to make the DM's task of running things while using the map a little easier. I weirded things up with the pickle forests and Wile E. Coyote landscape mountains.
That looks great! Maybe a bit too verdant though for the background color?
ReplyDeleteExcellent work!
ReplyDeletePretty. :D
ReplyDeleteGreat job! :)
ReplyDeleteA ROCKING GOOD MAP!
ReplyDeletePoor Lester/Little Wars is never going to get his Cacosa box sets assembled if all this new carcosa stuff keeps coming out...
ReplyDeleteGreat map!
ReplyDeleteNice! Thanks for sharing this.
ReplyDeleteNice! Any chance of getting a pdf?
ReplyDeleteStuart might have a point, maybe it could use a crazy purple/green/orange palette?
You are correct Blair, my homemade box set needs this!
Glad you all liked it and another thank you to Geoffrey for his original work and giving me the go ahead to post this.
ReplyDeleteStuart, B. Portly- A slightly wilder palette could look cool.
Very nice, setting matching, custom trees/terrain symbols/art.
