one hour geomorph dungeon

Still curios about the one hour limit on how much dungeon I could get drawn in an hour using digital tools and geomorphs:

Not too shabby. This was done mostly in illustrator with gray only geomorphs. I don't think I could have done as well or as much with photoshop alone using the detailed fill geomorphs.

  1. The corridors become their own entity in this map!

  2. There's a lot of corridor sections running off of the geomorph sections so it felt natural to go corridor crazy. This place would definitely benefit from lots of wandering monsters so folks learn to navigate the shortest routes they manage to avoid uneeded encounters.

  3. That's a pretty nice baseline map for a level, JD: not quite enough secret doors options for my tastes, but that can easily be solved by filling in some corridors and disconnecting some rooms.

  4. @grodog, it's really lite on secret door goodness because I was rushing to get as much done as possible under a time limit.

  5. Which geos were you using, out of curiosity?

  6. I used grey-filled (no pattern) versions of a bunch of the 5x10's, some 5 x 15's, few hexes and a couple triangle geomorphs.

  7. The hallways in this one become the main feature. Much impressed.
