Where great dragons swarm or do battle the land is split and
transformed for leagues in every direction. The twisting of the earth, the
uprooting of forests, the shattering of mountains, and the transformations of
flesh and metal brought on by draconic wrath reveal and leave behind a variety
of wealth and curiosities.

Descriptions of items on table above in order of
presentation on table:
Stained Gold- this gold has been stained by exposure to
heats, acids, and gases released by dragons. The entirety of the material will
not typically be stained and can sometimes create unique and desirable
patterning. Such stained gold will resell for half to double normal value.
Burnt Gold- this gold is clearly burned by exposure to
draconic fire and may show some additional damage. Gold artifacts that survive
the catastrophic circumstances of the burning can still fetch from half to
triple it’s normal value from jewelers, master weapon-smiths, and collectors.
Coloured Gold- this gold has been colored by exposure to
intense heat and a variety of chemicals without compromising the integrity of
the metal. Such colored gold will resell from half it’s normal value to
possibly five times as much.
Copperas Swill- a liquid mixture of orgasnic matter dissolved
by draconic acid containing a goodly portion of dissolved copper.
Ebonized Bronze- bronze that has had it’s coloration
darkened, even blackened by intense heat of dragon flame and absorbed some of
the chemical pollution of the nearby smoke. Such material is often beautiful to
the eye (if one discounts it’s origins). Some red-smiths claim and can be
reworked to form quality hepatizon.
Neutered Black Acid- The black dragon acid neutralized by
high quantities of dissolved matter and liquids. There are a number of
alchemical processes where this material may still be of use and it is even
possible to distill the acid from this black slurry.
Black Ice- this curious ice is very dangerous as it melts
into volatile acid instead of water. It is thought to be produced when the
breath of white dragons and black dragons intersects. Black Ice melts quickly
in the sun but does not otherwise melt as quickly as normal water ice if kept
away from sunlight and is quite valuable because of this property. Some claim
alchemists and wizards are able to stabilize and fortify black ice so as to use
it manufacture of magical arms and armor.
Stamp Plug- this hideous curiosity is a mangled mess of
armor, arms, and jewelry intermingled with clothing, flesh and bone all bound
together at the moment a huge dragon stamped flat a warrior or other person
into the earth with a great paws or its great swollen belly.
Opalized Bole- a
great segment of a tree quickly petrified and transmogrified into a wonderful
gemstone through processes not understood by sages but undoubtedly associated
with the rampages of dragons.
Petrified Timber- wood that has been petrified by gases and
energies associated with dragons and magical combat. Such timber is not as
beautiful as opalized boles but it is of value as a curiosity, in works of art
and as inlay for a variety of equipment and arms.
Stone Rose- A flower (not always a rose despite the name)
somehow petrified for the ages. Stone
roses and the even less common Crystal roses are in demand as a curiosity and
by jewelers who delight in being able to use them in works of wonder.
Cinder Jack- the remains of a hapless person or humanoid
entirely burnt by dragon fire but not reduced to loose ash but quickly
carbonized by the process so much of the remains are intact and identifiable.
Pieces of a Cinder jack are in demand as a morbid curiosity and for magical
experimentation. A cinder jack of a small humanoid or child will sometimes be
known as a cinder punk. A Cinder Saint is a cinder jack that some claim to be the
remains of a cleric or saint.
Dragon Tears- a semi-precious gem sometime produced when a
mixture of dragon bile and saliva spills to the bare earth or sand shortly
after a dragon uses it’s deadly breath weapon. Dragon-hunters have been known to lose a hand
by foolishly rooting about for dragon tears before they completely solidify.
Flayed Crown- mostly intact skulls of dragon victims bearing
some evidence of the fate they suffered (maybe scraps of dehydrated burnt
flesh, melted helmets, and such). They
are a curiosity among morbid collectors and an item coveted by some
necromancers for reasons unknown.
Dragon Fang- a dragon’s fang broken ones are not an uncommon
find at the site of a dragon battle if an intact one can be found it is
considered of greater value than a snapped nub. Some weapon-smiths can work an
intact or mostly intact dragon fang into a respectable dagger, or maybe even
sword.
Dragon Claw- as with the fangs the claws of dragons are not
unusual finds and they are of value as curiosities and a number of arcane
works.
Dragon Scale- the hides of dragons are covered in a great
number of scales and these may fetch a small but of coin as a curiosity but
some are of greater value to armourers in the know that can fashion the scales
into shields or use them to produce armor.
Dragon Silt- nightsoil, i.e. dung squzezed or scrapped from
a dragon’s innards. Sometimes “sausages” consisting of a length of
bowel/intestines tied off at each end will be transported for resale or use
elsewhere. There are industrial and magical processes that make use of dragon
silt and it is sometimes found to contain portions of metal items and even
whole gems and coins as some dragons are prone to swallow great quantities of
treasure for transport and it does not all remain in their crop.
Crop Bag- the intact (and hopefully packed) crop of a dragon
is a curiosity of sometimes great size and often great value as dragon crops
have been found with variety of remains, materials, and wealth within
them. Many dragon hunters will quickly
search out and remove a dragon’s crop and secure it (nominally having left the
contents alone) to haul it away for sale
to an aristocrat so they can be unpacked at a gathering of the decadently
curious.
Dragon Bile- A dragons bile is qa considerable constituent
of it’s breath weapon. The bile is not typically dangerous unless very fresh or
allowed to mix with draco-catalysticum. There are a number of industrial and
arcane uses for dragon bile, the fresher the better.
Draco-catalysticum- is a semi-magical material produced by
dragons and the critical element of their breath weapons that turns their bile
into a wide variety of fearsome breath weapons. The material is best kept away
from open flame, water, salt, blood, acid, and prolonged exposure to air unless
one wishes to die quickly. Many a would-be butcher of a dragon carcass has run
afoul of this material or so say the survivors.
